What is Surrogacy?
Surrogacy is a third party assisted reproduction where intended parents work with a surrogate mother who will help carry and care for their baby(ies) until birth. Intended parents use surrogacy to start or grow their families when they can’t do so on their own.

How Does Surrogacy Work?
Surrogacy is a process that requires medical procedures such as In-vitro Fertilization also known as IVF or Intrauterine Insemination also known as IUI.

What does Surrogacy using IVF Imply?
This type of surrogacy is also known as Gestational Surrogacy. In this type of surrogacy, embryos will be created through In-vitro Fertilization (IVF) and then transferred to a Surrogate Mother’s uterus, who would then carry the pregnancy through full term. This process allows Intended Parents, who may have difficulty carrying a pregnancy, to have a child with their own gametes or with the help of Donor Eggs or Sperms.
What does Surrogacy using IUI imply?
This type of surrogacy is also known as Traditional Surrogacy. In this type of surrogacy, the surrogate mother both donates her own egg and carries the pregnancy, making her the biological mother of the child. This type of surrogacy is achieved through Intrauterine Insemination (IUI), where the sperm from the Intended Father or Donor Sperm is placed directly into the Surrogate Mother’s uterus.
